Final decision not yet made, but I see MWIS has been updated. From a quick scan it suggests potential showers in the western dales, but clearing through the day and probably nice and dry in the peak. BBC forecast makes N York Moors look best.
MikeBlockedNot for me thanks Andrew (and some of us have to work so wouldn’t be able to get away until the evening anyway!!). Hope you enjoy the weekend.
A fair few people seem interested in plan B, climbing more locally on Saturday – me, Andrew M, Claire, Matt D, Linda, Tenko, Roman (and maybe others?). We’ll decide location later today, but probably either Peak, Dales or Moors.
MikeBlockedLatest MWIS forecast suggests E Highlands could be OK for hillwalking or scrambling, albeit windy on Saturday, and probably not dry enough for climbing. I think I’ll give Scotland a miss, and hopefully climb closer to home on Saturday. Peak could be good, but let’s see how the forecast develops, and talk more in the pub tonight.

MikeBlockedLooking at the latest weather forecast, it seems unlikely that Scotland will be worth the trip. It could still change, but I wouldn’t bet on it… There may be one decent day of weather closer to home though, so as a plan B would anyone be interested in some cragging in the dales or peak?
MikeBlockedAs mentioned in the pub last night, I’m potentially interested in a trip to Scotland that weekend too, if the weather’s good. I’d be happy to do some scrambling, but if anyone wanted to do a multi-pitch route with me (probably on the Saturday), ideally something like the Long Climb on the Ben, or Wither Whether & Whether Wall on the Cobbler, that would be great too. I think I’d have to come home on the Sunday afternoon/evening as I’ll be working Monday.
