Hi Oli,
I’d like to book myself into the hut for both nights. I’ve been granted permission to stay in the lakes for a few extra days so will see you there. I can offer lifts home on Sunday. I’ve paid.
Cheers!
Dave MModeratorThe club accommodation at the hostel is now fully booked. We have had an incredible response with 20 members booked in plus one more having made a separate booking.
More members are still invited to attend, however, any additional beds will have to be booked directly by the individual. If anyone else wants to come along please post here or on WhatsApp so we know who’s coming and it may be possible to room share if desired.
Those attending are:
Dave M, Gav H, Ed H, Dave Ca, Rose M, Laura B, Derek W, David Cu, Claire A, Paul M, Iain M, Steve M, Imogen A, Andrew E, Lucy A, Brian Y, Oli T, Tracy H, Dan S, Nathan R.
Also Loch T who is self-accommodating in the hostel.
In the new year I will create a WhatsApp group for the trip. It will be easier to forward further information, coordinate travel arrangements and match appropriate experience on a separate forum. In the meantime, for those that I don’t already know, please can you direct message me with your travel intentions/dates/willingness to car share and your experience level with aims you might have for the weekend trip.
Thanks once more for a super-fast sign-up to the trip. Makes this job a lot easier with such a positive and swift response.
Cheers!
Dave M
Dave MModeratorBrew York is where it’s at!
Dave MModeratorI’ve recently bought a new mountaineering rucksack. Got a Rab Ascendor 45/50. Very happy with it. Lightweight, unfussy and practical. https://rab.equipment/uk/rab-ascendor-45-50l-mountain-pack
I bought mine at Needlesports. Cost me £135
I haven’t used the rucksacks you mentioned but have done a lot of looking around over the last year or two and think that, for the price, the Rab is a decent option for an all-season rucksack.
