I expect that Saturday will be the main walking day and Sunday will be a half-day before driving home.
On Friday, if I get there in time, I will probably take a wander into the corries to check conditions.

The Glencoe Hostel is just a short distance up the road so any extras may be able to book their own accommodation if no spaces in the hut come up for grabs.

October 31, 2023 at 11:59 am in reply to: This week – 31st of October to Sunday 5th of November #17643Dave MModeratorForgot to mention that on the 5th of November there is the Reel Rock film night at Parthian Harrogate. The Reel Rock films have a good reputation and there is a post with link for more information on the events page. I believe that some club members are interested in going. Use Whatsapp to get in touch if you’re planning on going.
Cheers!
Dave MModeratorAttached are my thoughts about what equipment and personal gear is required for the winter weekend. Giles kindly produced a kit list in 2022 and this is a development for this coming season. Please talk to more experienced members about what equipment they have and how they have evolved their personal preference for their gear.
Some suitable gear may already be in your posession or you may intend to buy more. It is also likely that you are able to borrow gear. If necessary you can hire equipment from various outlets. Two of which are shown at the bottom of the kit list.

October 10, 2023 at 11:03 am in reply to: This week 10th to 15th of October 2023 and Parthian events #17468Dave MModeratorCarwyn has kindly volunteered to coordinate the Parthian lock-in session. He will sort out a date and keep eveyone informed of what’s on offer.
In the meantime please inform Carwyn if you are interested in joining for the lock-in session. It is a great opportunity to begin or better your climbing technique in an exclusive club (almost night club?) environment. Sam, the manager, even talked about personalised event lighting and our own bespoke playlist for background music. Wonderful!
