ModeratorOne place in the hostel has become available for Winter Weekend #2. The trip is open to everyone and if you would like to join please let me know. I am happy to take calls if you are unsure about anything. There may be lifts available to go up to Aviemore on Thursday or Friday and certainly to get home Sunday.
The cost for two nights (Friday and Saturday nights) is £60.
I’ll be setting up a WhatsApp Group for the trip in a day or two.

ModeratorA place on the Aviemore trip has become available. Some members are going up on Thursday the 14th, others on Friday and there is likely to be space in a car for travelling north on either day and back again on Sunday or Monday. The cost of the weekend (for Friday and Saturday night) is £60.
If anyone would like the space in the hostel please direct message me asap and I’ll give you more detail.

The details are on this post. Lifts are available and a WhatsApp group is already set up for the trip. The cost is £50 for two nights in the hut which will include a meal on the Saturday night.

Some members are heading up a day earlier and have arranged their own accommodation for Thursday night.
For those new to winter mountaineering it may be worth getting together to consider a two day skills course. The link here https://www.cairngormadventureguides.co.uk/winter-courses/winter-skills-2-days takes you to Cairngorm Adventure Guides website who offer a two day winter skills course including ice axe and crampon hire and is based out of Aviemore Hostel where we are staying. At the moment there is availability for a course on the 16th/17th and club members can receive a discounted rate. Message me directly if you’re interested and I’ll group you together.
