Folks, I’m giving this another push because to my mind its such great value and its so convenient to do a course in York instead of trekking elsewhere. Doing the things we do, I’m convinced myself that there is some duty to have up-to-date, proper verified, First Aid knowledge.
We don’t have a core of renewal people for this year, because 2013 was the one year we didn’t get the course to run. So at the moment, possible attenders are Caroline, Marjan, and Neil. (Tenk, I’m pretty sure your cert runs till 2017).
Under our usual arrangements, we need a threshold of 7 at which point the Club guarantees the course will run. If we can get another 2 or 3, it’ll be worth trying the canoeists and cyclists etc as we often do.
So please think about it. Could you cope if something happened ? Would you always feel you had done your best for your mate ?

Well we decided the weather forecast is not worth the journey this weekend. Marjan and I (at least) are gonna keep a look-out and see whether the following weekend of 9th – 10th July brings any greater cause for optimism.
    Anyone else ?

Having just seen the Look North weather on telly, it looks like showers everywhere this evening, even Scugdale.
So off to the mystery destination of H……… W… it must be, I reckon

I think phones work at Scuggie.
For Ampitheatre Buttress (assuming we go there) continue up the wall past the rightmost end of Scot Crags (Curtain Slab) and up to a stile on the moor top.
Across the stile there is a path along the top edge. Ampitheatre is about 100 metres along. Might be quiet if the rest is busy
