Cubic Block is not my most favourite place at Brimham, but it’s handy for the car park !! I’ll probably not get to Brimham until 6.30 or so. Will ring then and/or come to The Block

So it was “Mission Accomplished” in the NW Highlands over the Bank Holiday. In the space of two big mountain days (1725 metres ascent on Sunday) and two cosy bothy nights, all 4 of the Upper Glendessary Munros were climbed. As these rugged hills rank amongst the hardest-to-reach in Britain, Mr Green is well pleased to have them off his list !

The wild camping trip (one night) in the Cairngorms is still on the agenda for later. It involves two much more reasonable days on the hill, and will fit into a normal weekend. Anyone interested (experienced or otherwise) please discuss.

Other Highlands targets of note this summer will include the Strathfarrar Munros and the 5 Sisters of Kintail, amongst others.

Admittedly The Cliff is a wee gamble in these low temperatures, but could be worth a try if the sun keeps shining. Option to retreat to Wall obvs.
