AndrewSpectatorI worried over the Bank Holiday that I might get emails from the Highlands saying “Oi, where is York MC ???”
Fortunately Angela was able to check out several Munros from Crianlarich, whilst “our friend in the north” — Keith in Edinburgh – was bound for Fisherfield. Hoping for a less dramatic visit than last time near Shenavall.
Menwhile Steve Murray took Beccy for some much-deserved luxury — counterbalanced by doing her first Munros over the Easains.
Please check his grand Trip Report https://www.yorkmc.org.uk/easians-not-easy-uns/

PS The less questions to Mr Green, Tenko, or myself about a night of 20-odd at Corrour Station bunkhouse, and doing the Easains with a headache competition, the better.AndrewSpectatorOut and about this weekend /Bank Hol ?
Many have been, and will be, on a spectrum between the North-West Highlands and north-east Italy. My wife’s pending hip op (a medical procedure not a dance class) unfortunately means that at our house we have the drawbridge up and cannot leave the house for periods before and after the operation.
But from this “splendid isolation” I just wanna say that even more than usual, it will be great for us all to hear where Members have been. What’s open? what accommodation options ?… I hear SYHA are doing restricted accommodation with just a kettle in the room.
And if you do yearn for a trip, near or far, post up and see what happens ! We have three new members who’ve just introduced themselves.
Meanwhile I’ll be on my exercise bike in the garage, pretending I’m in the Highlands
ANDREWAndrewSpectatorA brilliant Report from Nick. At the other end of the scale, I’ve posted a few words about a quiet day in the northern Dales yesterday.
Permalink:I couldn’t find the button to “Notify Members” but no doubt that will get sorted soon.
As Nick says, the posting of Reports is now very easy. Just write, drag and drop. I timed my Great Shunner Fell report at 15 minutes. (About the same time it would take Nick to run it…..). Anyway, it seems like this software update has finally produced a user-friendly system for Reports. Lets see more of ’em. Hurrah.

AndrewSpectatorThanks Giles, that’s certainly the sort of helpful info which can assist the rest of us to make decisions.
Slipstones has been regularly on the Thursday evening itinerary, but usually with ropes on the taller climbs at the west end. However to my recollection, further eastwards there are various short (3 – 4 metre) Mods, Diffs etc which provide solo fun (ie avoiding use of equipment)
