This is a great resource book to have. The List is quite arbitrary in some parts, but it is a means to the exploration of much (not all) of the fascinating Highlands.
Keep a record of what you do. Dates, names, weather. As your mountain days rise into the hundreds, it will become an invaluable personal treasure trove.ANDREW
AndrewSpectatorThanks to Nick for being MC /Quizmaster in an amusing session, and to Tenk for “the knowledge” underpinnings. Cheers everyone for a very enjoyable evening and here’s hoping that all the different wishes we discussed for 2021 will come to pass.
Merry Christmas.

AndrewSpectatorApparently no area has been placed into either the highest (4) or lowest (0) Tier. Which means that the current 2 households outdoors limit will continue, unless some of the highlands gets into Tier 0 in the future
AndrewAndrewSpectatorThe Scottish Tier system which will come into effect next week was debated in the Scottish Parliament yesterday. There is a clear summary here https://news.stv.tv/politics/at-a-glance-scotlands-new-coronavirus-levels-system
In levels 1-4, the current restriction remains that outdoor meetings are limited to two households max six people. In level Zero this is eased to 15 people from 5 households. However it is not expected that any area will go straight into Level Zero at present. The Levels to which different parts of Scotland are assigned, are to be announced in the coming days. I think it is intended that these will be local government areas (ie instead of Health Boards).
Highland Council area does not cover all the Highlands, NB. It is basically north from Glencoe.

AndrewSpectatorI have just heard it said on BBC TV that in Scotland car sharing by people from different households is to be made illegal.
So trips north this winter look like being OPOC. (one person one car). Which will not be easy. Needs to be checked out by anyone planning such, I guess.
