I have a commitment for Sunday so I’m probably a Saturday-only person this weekend myself

Little more is known about this secretive event. My own intention is to get to the Lion about 7pm and Steve & Beverley are going up in their camper van. I expect it will be walkies tomorrow and make the best of whatever weather we are given, so I’m taking a rucksack and a packed lunch. I believe Dolly is coming in the morning for the walk.
Hope to see as many as possible later on !

I shall be in Chorley from Christmas Day. A similar distance to Dufton as from York, so I’m packing some hill gear. However my actual attendance will depend on which hospitals some of my wife’s family are in at the time, and their release arrangements (!)

Loch pointed out whilst climbing at Rock City this morning, that this post is titled the New Year 1024 bash. So in the spirit of silliness, (which prevailed amongst us at Hull) although no weather forecast is available yet, I can advise that the Anglo Saxon Chronicle for 1024 reads:-
1024. Here Richard the Second died. Richard, his son, reigned about one year, and after him Robert, his brother, reigned 8 years.
    Quelle co-incidence.

(obviously its some Saxon Ricardus here, not the Plantagenet version).
