SpectatorI shall watch weather /lunchtime forecast intently !!
Another possible compromise if things are uncertain, might be Hetchell. The situation is sheltered, and it is close enough to flee back to Acomb if things turn poor.
But “sunny Scuggy” often earns its nickname

SpectatorPaul-the-weatherman has stated (in terms) on lunchtime TV that “north Yorkshire will brighten up in the later afternoon”. (And there remains a risk of showers to the west.)
So Loch, Mahlah, and I intend to try our luck in the Dale of Scug.
Leaving at 4.25, one seat in car. ETA Scuggy about 5.20 – 5.30

SpectatorThe score at present is that the course is definitely booked, and will run Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th November, with 12 places.
8 deposits have actually been received, with a further 2 “spoken for” and deposits promised.
Obviously we do want to get to the situation of having 12 deposits, as this will bring the cost per participant down to a bargainous £75. What usually happens is that later in the summer, any remaining places are offered to outside clubs. All previous courses have sold out.
I really do believe that anyone hillgoing or climbing ought to have some First Aid capability (not least, in case they need to give aid to me !!) and so for YMC members, this really is a great chance to get a proper ticket at well below half what it would normally cost you.
Aaron……. sounds like you will be highly preoccupied at the time mate !!. I have arranged First Aid each year since 2008, and only in 2013 did we fail to get a team together. So hopefully there will be another course next year.
