Hi Andy,
First of all, im Mark. For one reason or another i havent been on any events with York MC – even though ive been a member for almost a year – im dead keen though! Bloody hell, really jealous with that Brown cove stuff (is it ‘swallow gully’?)- i wanted to do it but dont have anyone to go with and obviously cant do it alone! To give you an idea of where im at i love Custs gulley in the lakes and my ambition is Central gully – maybe one day!
Im really crap at this internet stuff and to be honest find the York site hard to find whats on – if id have known you were going there id have put my name down immeadiately!
Totally jealous,
Mark
Hi Mark.
One way to find out what activities are going on, is to look on the website at the “Forum”. By my count, there have been 13 hillwalking/scrambling days or weekends posted here since June, plus 3 winter mountaineering days, and 3 other climbing trips.
However it’s also true that we do have an ‘iceberg effect” because many people arrange days or weekends without using the Forum. There are many more activities than the Forum shows, because people arrange things between themselves, or spontaneously.
A good way to get started is to come to the Fox on Holgate road from 10pm on a Thursday. Usually in the back room.
Regards
ANDREW
