Just getting my pitch (no pun intended) in early regarding things to do in Snowdonia. Depending on the weather, things on my bucket list (and hopefully might be fun for others too) include the following:
The Snowdon Horseshoe (or just Crib Goch).
Clogwyn y Bustach just east of Snowdon which includes Lockwood’s Chimney (a four-pitch VD with most of the climbing inside the cliff) and Gallop Step (a two-pitch HVS 5a traverse where you finish lower than when you started – but I don’t think that I’m in shape/practice to lead this one).
Of course, there is always Tryfan if we’re up for classics and Tryfan Fach (aka Little Tryfan) for those who want to ease into multi-pitching. Idwal Slabs aka Cwm Idwal would also be cracking fun.
All these are close to the hut (for Snowdonia) with Tryfan (the closest) looking to be a 10-15 minute walk from the hut and Pen-y-Pass car park (for Snowdon) being a 15 minute drive.
Hopefully, these will tickle some fancies…
If the weather’s poor and individuals don’t fancy climbing / scrambling, there’s more walking than you can shake a stick at.
