Well I extended my personal range of activities which I have done out-of-doors today. I lugged my MTB, attached to the turbo trainer, out of the garage and into the sun-drenched garden.Bike on turbo trainer

March 202020200407_171458My road bike has a quick-release rear hub (besides still needing a little repair after the “Asphalt Kiss” two weeks ago) and so it has to be the MTB. Unfortunately, with the big knobbly rear tyres, the turbo trainer now sounds like a swarm of angry wasps following me, …. too loud indeed to hear the radio.

I can report that waggling your legs on a turbo trainer in the garden is nearly as boring as doing the same thing indoors. (I’m about to run an ethernet cable so I can watch Youtube in the garage). But at least it keeps hope alive that one day I’ll be able to waggle up another hill.
I was a bit uncertain as to whether, upon reaching half way through my planned exercise time, I should turn the turbo trainer through 180 degrees and pedal back the other way ??
If there are any official rules upon this point, I shall be glad to comply.

    All thebest and bear up

I think one of the joys of using a turbo trainer outside is that you can rotate to ensure a constant tail wind.
