Lots of things going on at the minute. Trips being announced and various walks and events coming in the near future.
Tuesday will be Red Goat session. I’ll be ther at 5pm. Maybe no pizza for me this week.
Wednesday looks like a fine weather day so I’m making an early start, heading over to the Lake District and aim to get onto the fells. Happy for anyone to join if available and I’ll work out where to go when I see how warm the tops are.
Thursday is Harrogate Wall. I’ll be there at about 5pm. It’s the first Thursday of the month so Matthew and Dave C will be delighted to have some company in the Fox. I expect to be in the Fox for 8pm. It’ll be the easiest opportunity for Aviemore ideas to be discussed.
On Saturday the 8th I intend to head over to the Lake District for another day trip. The weather forecast appears vague at the moment but a temperature drop is expected at the end of the week. I’ll adapt the plan to suit the weather and I’m happy for anyone else to join me.
A new trip has been announced by Emma. The Smithy Hut in Thirlmere has been booked for the weekend of 15th to 27th of April. 9 spaces are available and the cost for the weekend is £31. If you’re interested please contact Emma.
The Banff film festival is coming to York, Harrogate and Leeds over the next few weeks. The post on the Events and Notices Page has a link to all the details https://www.yorkmc.org.uk/events-calendar/.
I’m about to post on the forum about the weekend trip to Raven Crag, Great Langdale. Dates are the 4th to the 6th of July, cost is £42 and there are 24 spaces. If you’d like to come along please let me know.
There are more club trips still to be confirmed and announced so please keep an eye out.
Finally, we are looking for a willing volunteer to organise the annual First Aid Course. The course is normally held over a weekend in the depths of winter, pre-Christmas or early new-year, when nothing much is happening. If anyone is able to help out please get in touch with me. Your help will be very much appreciated.
Cheers!
