Tuesday evening will be a sociable climb at the Red Goat. I should be there by 5 but will not be staying for a pizza this time.
Possible climbing at Rock City for the East Yorkshire crowd. Plans are materialising on WhatsApp.
Thursday Club Climbing will be at Harrogate Wall. All welcome. If you’re new to the club and looking to meet up with us please let me know if you can or if you need any help. I’ll be there before 5pm. We’ll be heading to the Cricketers afterwards.
There’s a trip to Wales in a couple of weeks and it’s on the forum. 5 of us are intending to jog around the Penmaenmawr Fell Run. I’ve never done a fell run before. We’ll be climbing/walking/scrambling when there too, weather permitting. There’s one spare place in the hostel so if anyone wants to come along please let me know. It’ll be a sociable weekend!
I have booked accommodation for an additional winter weekend in Aviemore. The dates are Friday the 21st to Monday 24th Feb 2025 (3 nights due to hostel 3 for 2 offer) and the cost will be £63 whether you stay for 2 nights or 3. Three nights gives a very good opportunity for a winter skills course. Priority will be given to those that can’t make Ballachulish and I’m working on the lists to sort names as quickly as I can and to be as fair as possible. I already have a considerable level of interest. There will be more information to follow, however, if you would like a space on the Aviemore trip please get in touch.
This weekend so far there are no specific plans for club climbing. Next week on Thursday it will be Fox pub night.
