School holidays for some. Tuesday evening is Red Goat session. Wednesday is Freeklime and Thursday will be ‘Live For Today’ Climbing Centre, Harrogate (nee Parthian). Punch cards and concession prices will continue to apply at the climbing wall. You will need to re-register for the new owner of the wall – https://live-for-today.com/climbing. I can’t make any of the nights this week. Please post on the forum or WhatsApp if you’re going and at what time.
Bank holiday weekend is coming so there may be opportunities for getting together. Social media is there to help organise when the weather prospects are better known. Steve M is planning to head to Scotland and kindly posted with an offer for anyone to join him.
Thursday next week (4th April) will be the Fox pub night. Please let others know if and when you are going so new and prospective members are not left in the dark.
For the next month Derek and myself are heading away to Nepal. If we get chance we may post an occasional photo. The committee will be looking after the normal routine of the club. It’s likely that the weather will improve so more outdoor activities will begin to appear on the agenda and in a month or so we will be looking at evening outdoor climbing.
There are several upcoming trips. April, Coniston is full at the moment but the May trip to Patterdale has a couple of spaces. I am about to post more information about the Borrowdale trip. Both the Borrowdale and Patterdale weekends are fun trips, ideal for those recent joiners wanting to get to know other members who are interested in more walking rather than pure climbing.
Have a super Easter and Bank Holiday. See you at the end of April!
