    WhatsApp messages are being exchanged already for climbing at the Big Depot in Leeds tonight.

    Tuesday evening will be a session at the Goat for me (and a pizza). This will be a good opportunity to chat about the upcoming trip to the Peak District. I’ll be there from 5pm.

    Thursday’s weather forecast at the moment is looking good for outdoor climbing. I can’t make it but if anyone wants to take the lead on the venue please feel free to post here or on WhatsApp.

    On Friday there will be a big push to Hathersage with more than 14 of us heading to a bunkhouse for the weekend for climbing and walking. The weather is likely to be unsettled so bring gear to keep several options open to make the most of the weekend. More messages will be posted on the trip WhatsApp group to update such things as communal meal and whereabouts. Club members are invited to join us for any day and can direct message or call to find out where we are.

    As to Thursday 13th climbing, it is Great Yorkshire Show this week, during which the Harrogate area normally sees very heavy traffic. Steve Green thus suggested Scugdale, which seems the best option. ANDREW

    I aspire to the Goat tonight and perhaps a pizza. I can’t make Thursday or the weekend – have a great time.

    I will be somewhere on rock (if the weather allows) on Wednesday if anyone wants to join me. No venue chosen yet and pretty flexible as to where it might be.
