It looks like winter is finally arriving in the Highlands, and judging by discussions at the pub last night a few people are considering a trip to Scotland next weekend.
It’s still all dependent on what the weather forecast says, but Maria and I have in theory got Friday off work, so the ideal plan for us would be to leave very early on Friday morning, aiming to climb somewhere in the southern highlands (e.g. the Cobbler) on the Friday, then staying Friday and Saturday night wherever weather & conditions look good, climbing and/or ski touring on Saturday & Sunday.
I think Dave Carrier, Matt Diggle, Richard Goodey and Sarah Allard are all potentially interested in some kind of Scotland trip. Anyone else?
As the forecast gets clearer through the week, if people post their plans on here we can combine forces for driving, accommodation, etc.
