Dear All

Some of you may remember the other Christmas (Christmas Party 2018), we were sent some photographs which we included in the slide show that evening from one of the founding members of York Mountaineering Club – Edwin Martin. I’ve today received an email from his son, Andy, to say they lost his Father last month.

I wanted to share his email with you all, as I for one, was grateful to see the photo’s, they captured some precious moments of the club from years gone by!

Thought I should let you know that we lost dad, Edwin Martin, last month, one of the original members of the York Mountaineering Club.
He had a long and great life. The passion for the hills that was kindled in York stayed with him the rest of his life.
