Hi Barry,
The Club has seen some 8 Compleations since our first one by Mike Spence in 1999. Two or three of us continue to check out Highland summits over and over again as the years roll by, sometimes seeing our 6th or 7th ascents. . There are another two or three Members getting very close to Compleation, and several others steadily at work. Many of our Trip Reports are about Scotland.
Your question is a good one; since there is no particular forum for Scottish mountains. I am sure you will get various replies to this post, so the “usual suspects” may become apparent. We do have a pub night in York on the first Thursday of each month, and chatting around there could also be useful. If there is a good forecast, make a Forum or Whatsapp post in case anyone is available.
From long experience, trips can often be weather-dependent….. both as to destination, or indeed deferring altogether. Indeed, I just posted yesterday on Whatsapp that I have the next two weekends pencilled in (as alternatives) with a friend, and we are just watching the weather.
Not only Munros, but sometimes scrambles, climbs, bothies and some splendid sub-3000 mountains such as Foinaven, Quinag, Ben More Coigach etc etc.
Good Hunting
ANDREW
