Mike and I would be interested if it’s a date we can make.

I would be interested in this so long as the date will be OK.

Owing to “Sod’s Law” (as so many of us have been involved in the First Aid course Sat + Sun) there may have been fair conditions over the weekend. However next week looks unstable with a series of fronts to pass through. There may be a weather window on Tuesday night, but possibly not firm enough to justify the commitment. An option being considered last Thursday is to walk next Saturday night, sleep, then go to the commemoration on Great Gable on Sunday morning.
I’ll be keeping eyes on the weather with this in mind

Looks like Saturday night could be a runner. !!
The forecast is for high pressure moving in, and there will be a cold NW wind with occasional snow showers. The brief synopsis from Lakes Weatherline is at the end of this post.

Steve G and I are considering getting started around 6pm which should see us in bed well before midnight and up again for Great Gable on Sunday morning. Details to be finalised. Obviously we will only have a half moon but if there is a light snow cover upstairs, and some moonlight, then as they say:
“You can’t always get what you want
    But if you try sometimes
    you might find
    You get what you need”
