    Hi Will – my son – Andrew M, Penny and I are traveling up Fri afternoon. I’m bring my van because Will doesn’t have a bunkhouse place. Will and I want to get some hard climbing routes in but that of course is down to the weather. Think Pen is up for climbs, scrambles or walks weather depending. J

    long term forecast for torridon area shows a cold snap, with snow midweek followed by overcast and chilly (4 degrees max) at sea level – so freezing level may be well below the tops! on this basis I’m going prepared with winter walking kit – warm clothes, walking crampons and a walking axe. plus warmer weather clothes for if everything changes unexpectedly!

    Mike and I are hoping to do some hill walking but will also take climbing gear. Does anybody have a spare walking axe and crampons that I could borrow?
