    Is anyone interested in a hill day in the Lake District on Sunday? Maria and I are in Keswick for the Alpine Club AGM & dinner on the Saturday night, and we’re intending to stay overnight and do something in the hills on Sunday. Probably some kind of hillwalk, maybe with some scrambling – we’ll decide closer to the time based on the weather forecast.

    We can’t offer a lift from York as we’re heading to the lakes on Saturday. I’m sure you’re capable, and I don’t think we’ll be doing anything particularly hardcore, but it is a bit wintry over there at the moment, so axe & crampons may be needed (we have some you can borrow if needed). We can discuss at the pub on Thursday anyway.
