HORIZON 25 MAY

This programme (on iPlayer obvs) was recommended to me last night. Provides a clear narrative about the pandemic and the situation.

My take-aways:
1. Spread easily in the Munich cluster by passing a salt cellar
2. High percentage of asymptomatic carriers + those infectious for 10 days before symptoms show up
3. Affects different groups to different extent. So the risks you take, might be risks to someone else’s life.
4. Not established whether herd immunity will develop at all. Not sure if or when a vaccine will become available
5. Future pandemics and possible reform of environmental management
