HATS OFF TO GILES

A few weeks ago, the pub quiz in the Fox was very loud in every room, stifling conversation. As soon as this was drawn to his attention, our Landlord Giles offered right away to switch off the loudspeakers in the back room, and reserve it for YMC.
Last Thursday, (having been away the previous week) it was really nice to see that a semi-formal “ROOM RESERVED” notice had been put on the table, and our back room was empty, waiting for us.
This is a really good offer from the Landlord, and will be great for the Club if we can get it firmly established. So I think we should try to respond to Giles, and if you feel the slightest bit thirsty on a Thursday, do just pop in to make Giles feel that reserving the whole back room for YMC is worthwhile !!
