    I am informed that Frank may have a friend who would take a place, in order to fill up the course which of course will bring the cost per head down.
    So today could be “last call” for any remaining York MC bods

    be far better to fill it with york MC bods! having once hit the ground falling off a route (my fault, lesson learnt) and had to do my own first aid because my belayer didnt know what to do, I infinitely prefer climbing with people who have learnt the basics 🙂

    My sentiments entirely. I’ve said before that I ought to be more interested in my companions having First Aid knowledge, than having it myself.
    That said, we have never run a course entirely from York MC, and we have always opened it up to other organisations after the initial offer, in order to fill all the places. Last year, we could not raise more than 4 York MC members and the course did not run, and I felt anxious this year that I might have to scurry round for “external” help. So we’ve gone from famine to feast in that sense.
    But last call it is, now
