I’m sharing this BBC report sent by a friend about authoritative bodies such as Mountaineering Scotland and John Muir Trust complaining that Google Maps is showing “potentially fatal” routes to various mountain summits.

It should be self-evident, but the old saying is to carry a map and compass and know how to use them. A phone GPS can help determine your position in case of need. But choose your route yourself….. don’t rely on Google !!!
