Hi and happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and New Year celebrations, having successfully navigated around the threat of covid and all of the associated logistical problems.
With the turn of the year I have the doubtful pleasure of reminding all the club members that payment of their annual subscriptions is due. It was decided at the AGM to maintain the cost of our annual membership at £30 since the BMC element of the membership fee will not increase until April. Please can all members renew their annual subscription as soon as possible in January in order that we can process our account with the BMC.
York Mountaineering Club membership, apart from the obvious climbing, walking, mountaineering and social connections with local like minded people gives a whole array of additional benefits through affiliated membership of the BMC. To renew your membership please click on the ‘membership’ tab on the homepage of the club website and then click again the sub-menu ‘renew membership’ where you can check your current details before paying. The easiest option is to pay via Paypal, however, other forms of payment are available and the relevant information is given on the page. Membership cards will be issued as soon as possible by me when I have them. Most likely I will be able to hand cards over at Harrogate climbing wall, the Red Goat, the Knavesmire or at any other club event.
