There’s a lot of club activity going on at the moment which is great to see. Everyone in the club is welcome to and encouraged to post an activity here or on WhatsApp in order to share lifts, experience, enjoy company etc. Don’t be shy!
This Thursday is the first of the month so after climbing at Almscliff I will be heading to the Knavesmire for 8pm. Again, the Knavesmire is a great venue for new folks in particular to meet and discuss possible adventures. In recent months the pub night has been well attended and this week I already know of several members intending to go so we’re hoping for a good night. I understand that Richard H (Tenk) will be in attendance with a car boot load of climbing gear, guides, winter gear, sleeping bags and all things mountaineering to trade if anyone is interested. A great opportunity to pick up decent kit.
The coming weekend is the first Sunday of the month. The weather forecast is settled so it should be a good weekend to get outside for any activities. I’m heading up to Scotland on Monday morning so can’t make it out this weekend but feel free to arrange any sort of day or weekend trip.
The week beyond has possibilities for more. Giles has posted on WhatsApp already if anyone is interested in climbing on Monday or Wednesday.
Even further ahead, Andrew has posted for a potential weekend trip to Scotland starting on the 17th of June. Anyone interested is encouraged to get in touch directly with Andrew.
See you on Thursday!
Cheers!
