I will be attending.
Two details to note and consider:
1. There was a recent discussion about the excellent quality of the facilities / variety / and general ambience of Big Depot Leeds that led to a debate as to whether this venue should be the destination for the “traditional” Xmas climb. It certainly gets my vote.
2. Our joyous re-acquaintance with The Fox had me thinking that a Bishopthorpe Traverse is becoming very polished and worn, and resembles one of those Classic routes that are best avoided when even slightly damp. As iconoclasts and pioneers, can I suggest we consider an alternative approach to Trembling Madness; attempting a daring new line starting at An Mhadaidh (The Fox) and involving a run out and exposed foray down to Lendal (potentially placing runners at the Volunteers Arms, the Bay Horse, the York Tap and The Maltings). Risky, I know… but what a line…
