A Brighouse-based charity – My Mito Mission – is running a charity abseil on 16 July 2022 in Halifax. It will be an abseil down Wainhouse Tower – 84m/275″ – the highest structure in Calderdale and the tallest folly in the world.

If you want to stay on and get some climbs in at Halifax’s cracking local crag, Woodhouse Scar, it’s about 500m away from the tower – and has over 200 routes and problems on good Yorkshire gritstone.
