AUSTRIA IN AUGUST : IRON IN THE SOUL

Loch, Dolly and myself have booked flights to go to the Innsbruck area from 14th to 21st August aiming to do some of the klettersteig routes in the northern limestone alps, such as the Karwendel and Zahmer Kaiser ranges, as in http://www.yorkmc.org.uk/klettersteig-in-the-tyrol/ If anyone else is interested, please have a chat. Klettersteig means “climbing-path’ similar to via ferrata “iron way”.
“Iron in the Soul” sounds like appropriate holiday reading whilst Loch gets the beers. Its 42 years since my Penguin Classic was last opened, so I haven’t a clue what its about now…..
