A Fascinating Evening in Thirsk?
Please see the email below regarding an up and coming local event – always good to support not only our local legends but also our local volunteers. Sounds like a great night to me!

I hope the following may be of interest to your members?
Thirsk’s Ritz Cinema hosts acclaimed filmmaker Terry Abraham on Sunday 11th March for a special preview showing for his new film about local climbing legend Alan Hinkes.
‘ALAN HINKES – THE FIRST BRITON TO CLIMB THE WORLD’S HIGHEST MOUNTAINS’ will be screened with a personal intro and a following Q&A session hosted by Terry Abraham himself.
This is a one-off event – a rare chance to see a hosted film presentation about our local legend.
Unfortunately it is not possible to book tickets in advance, all tickets will be sold on the door.
As you will hopefully be aware the Ritz Cinema in Thirsk is entirely volunteer-run and has been for over 20yrs now. We rely wholly on the support of the local community, our supporters and the good will of the local media to help keep the cinema running.
Many thanks for your support,
Cheers, Marc
