a meet up suggestion…

while I was in Rjukan last week I got talking to people from the Harrogate mountaineering club (they were having a meet based at the same hostel as us) and over a whisky or two we came up with a cunning plan…as we all know, there are three very localish clubs who all use the harrogate wall and climb at the same local crags, these are Harrogate Mountaineering Club, York Muntaineering Club, and York Alpine Club. Many of us already know each other, to talk to if not by name, and we thought it would be really good fun to organise a one-off local cragging meetup for people from all three clubs. Anyway last night Martin, who is the harrogate meets organiser, spoke to me and suggested we try to agree a date, I talked to a few of the YAC guys and gals and they seemed keen, so can I throw this into the pot as a suggestion to the YMC lads and lasses? a three way harrogate/YAC/YMC evening or weekend day meet? If we get something going between the three of us we could maybe even interest some folks from Swaledale Outdoor Club (I say this because I was climbing with a friend from SOC at Rjukan who thought they might like to hook up for the day too)
