    As of Friday 24th June I will have to relinquish my status as being part of the YMC Youth section and come to terms with being 50.
    To discreetly mark this occasion I will be going to the pub.

    You are therefore cordially invited to Brigante’s Bar (Micklegate) from 6pm onwards to join me in a refreshing pre-weekend beverage on the occasion of me reaching a purely arbitrary age reflecting the number of times the earth has circumnavigated the sun.

    There is also the nucleus of a plan forming to then progress all the way across the road to Jinnah for modest meal… do tell me if you might like to join me.

    All very informal, but come along if you can

    Unfortunately it looks as though I will spend much of Friday in Preston Hospital where my wife’s mother is approaching her fourth week of internment.
    The plan is to sleep back at York so I may be able to join for a beer or 3 later on.

    I’m in, but will have to tone down the beer consumption a little as a busy Saturday schedule dictates, or at least until the half-gallon mark is reached.
