September Sea Cliffs

North Pembrokeshire Sea Cliffs

Mid-September brought sunny weather to SW Wales, and Maria and I had a few days climbing some excellent routes on slabby sea cliffs near St David's. Low tide was conveniently around lunchtime, making the middle of the day ideal for climbing.

At Porth-Clais we climbed Diagonal Crack (S 4a), Red Wall (S 4a), Porth-Clais Crack (HS 4b) and Sea Rider (VS 4c).

At Initiation Slabs we climbed Capricorn (HS 4b), Gemini (VD) and Aries (VS 4c). We had hoped to do Rosary (HS 4b) at Square Bay, just along the coast from Initiation Slabs, but unfortunately it pretty much fell down in a rockfall a couple of years ago!

We also managed a bit of trail running and walking along the coast.
