Oh dearie me !!
One thing just leads on to another, don't you find ?
Poor weather in the west led to our being in Glen Shee. We had a good plan to walk from Balmoral and do the Stuic scramble onto Lochnagar, returning across Conachcraig, the adjacent Corbett.
Then rain after breakfast led to coffee in Ballater. And since we had got to Ballater, when the rain stopped that led to a drive to Loch Muick.
An enormous amount of water coming off the hills made the path impassable at first.
But a determined diversion led to Connachcraig after all. So that was fine, a Corbett achieved, by mid-day.
Then as the skies had cleared (eastwards only !), that led to a walk up Lochnagar.
And a partial view westwards led to Carn a' Choire Bhoidheach.
From there, as it was only another couple of Km, although we couldn't see too much at the time, a compass bearing or two, led to Carn an t-Saigart Mor.
By this time we were 10km from the car even as the crow flew (and in danger of falling off the edge of the OS map) so that led to a decision that the easiest way back would be over Cairn Bannock and Broad Cairn.
And that led to our getting back to the car by moonlight at 7.15 , which led to a nice pub meal in Ballater.
Which led to our texting Richard, who said that according to MemoryMap, the whole day adds up to 30km and 1520 metres ascent, for our Corbett, 5 Munros, and one "other".
Which led Brian to remark that he was a trifle fatigued.
